Collagraph
Collagraph printmaking was my first and relatively low tech introduction to printmaking. The low relief plates are individually inked in multiple colours before going through the press in one pull. No two images from the same matrix can ever be quite the same. I enjoy the subtle changes, which reflect the slow erosion and adaptation of coastal surfaces by time and tide. Here is a representative selection of work which reflects my ongoing interest in the colour, texture and abstraction of form of eroded natural and manmade objects from the shoreline
